BACKGROUND
The University of the Arts London commissioned PENSON to create a feature staircase to join the 1st floor library with a 2nd floor reading area at the foot of a 20 storey tower at Elephant & Castle.

The staircase cleverly creates the illusion that as you rise you can see the sky with semi-opaque graphics and false day lighting.
